Ghosts, ghouls and goblins greet visitors to the historic Sheffield Island Lighthouse, which is decorated to provide thrills and chills for youngsters of all ages (only two rooms are kept dark). This fun-filled, child-friendly haunted attraction includes activities for young visitors.
Haunted Lighthouse activities are free, but participants must purchase round-trip ferry tickets.

Concert, classic car show are free at the beach – Norwalk
The First County Bank Summer Concert Series continues Wednesday, Aug. 10 (rain date Thursday) with a classic car show and a performance by Dreamin.
A parking fee of $ 5 per car will be charged for cars without a Norwalk beach sticker.
Beginning at 6 p. m., attendees can view more than 100 vehicles at the car show, hosted by the Coachmen Rod and Custom Club, an organization of men and women who enjoy classic cars. Owners of 1981 and older cars can participate in the shows, which attract owners from throughout the tristate area. Each car show participant is asked to contribute canned food or make a donation to the St. Vincent De Paul food bank.
The Dreamin’ concert begins at 7 p. m. The band features vocalists Joey Bennett, Douglas Dorsey, Timmy Hayes, Tommy Talercio and Richard “Cookie” Thomas.

Seaport schedules Pirate Adventure
NORWALK — Swashbucklers of all ages will be welcome at Norwalk Seaport Association’s first-ever Pirate Adventure on Sheffield Island Saturday, July 16, and Sunday, July 17. Landlubbers will be taken by ferry to the island where they will meet pirates, hear demonstrations of pirate history and search for the lost treasure of Captain William Kidd. Ferries will leave the Sheffield Island dock, adjacent to the Stroffolino Bridge on the corner of Washington and Water Streets in Norwalk, at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. For more information and to buy tickets online, visit www.seaport.org.

NORWALK — The 1st Taxing District will present the Jim Clark Group featuring Tracey Marble at its Concert on the Green at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 17. Bring folding chairs. Additional parking available behind 69 East Ave. and at One Park Street. In case of rain the concert will be performed inside the First Congregational Church on the Green.

WESTPORT — The Westport Police Athletic League and westport Parks & Recreation will hold the annual Independence Day Fireworks Celebration on July 1 at Compo Beach. Tickets are now on sale at the Police Station and the Parks & Recreation Office.Lydian Asset Management of Westport is sponsoring the event; Lydian has been the event sponsor for the past several years.
Tickets are limited and are on sale for $30 per car; once they are all sold shut¬tle passes will be available for sale. Rain date for the event is July 5.

Fireworks display planned July 3
NORWALK — The city of Norwalk’s annual fireworks display is scheduled for dusk Sunday, July 3, at Calf Pasture Beach and Shady Beach. Parking will be available only at Calf Pasture Beach and a fee of $20 will be charged for cars without Norwalk beach stickers. The fireworks show will be preceded by the Amazing Andy show at 5: 30 p. m. at Calf Pasture and at 6 p. m. with singer¬songwriter Beau Badrick followed by Dance to the Music with DJ Nuzzo.
